Invector Gadget was Team 10257’s first robot. It implemented a unique scissor lift design targeted at scoring algae directly to the barge. Landing 5 algae per match, sometimes from the other side of the field, Invector Gadget was the pride and joy of these rookies.

Fabrication
To the greatest extent that we could manage, Invector Gadget was made in house. Prototypes were laser cut, pins and shafts were turned on the lathe, linkages made on the milling machines, claws CNC routed, chassis plasma cut, parts were 3D printed, rollers were cast from silicone, t-shirts screen printed, bumpers vinyl heat pressed, and field elements fabricated.
